We would first colour your natural hair to the desired shade, and then the hair extensions will be installed and perfectly blended to exactly the same colour.

Payment
Do I pay a deposit?
For a service appointment, Taylor Rose Hair requires a 50% deposit for your hair extensions at your initial consultation. This is to ensure we secure your hair extensions that are bespoke to your requirements.
What payment methods do you accept?
At Taylor Rose Hair, we accept cash or card payments.
Refunds
At Taylor Rose Hair, we provide the best hair extension service and do not offer refunds once the process has been completed. We have the Taylor Rose Promise in place to help with any queries or issues with the hair extensions after installation, to provide the best customer services experience.

What should the minimum length of my natural hair be to install hair extensions?
Your natural hair should be a minimum length of at least 8 inches/20 cm
Should I get my hair coloured prior to consultation?
As we offer colour services, we can carry out the full service of colour and extensions here in the salon. Perfectly matching your extensions to your preferred hair colour. Alternatively, please ensure you arrive at your initial consultation with your desired hair colour, as we will be colour matching to the last 5 inches of your natural hair.
I have highlights. Will you still be able to match the colour of my hair?
Of course! Please ensure you arrive at your initial consultation with your preferred hair colour, so we can ensure a precise colour match.
Can you apply extensions to Afro Caribbean hair?
We can provide hair extensions for Afro Caribbean hair, but we ask that clients get their hair straightened prior to their appointment.
If I have fragile hair, will hair extensions help?
We do not recommend traditional hair extensions for fragile or extremely fine hair, as your natural hair needs to be strong to hold the bond for the hair extension in place. However, we do offer mini keratin extension bonds and hair loss systems, which are suitable for fragile and/or ladies with alopecia.
If I have alopecia, can I have hair extensions?
We do not recommend traditional hair extensions for those with alopecia, or any form of hair loss or hair fall, but we do offer a hair loss solutions service and mini keratin extension bonds.

What type of hair extensions do you use?
We use 100% human, natural remy hair extensions. The hair has a beautiful, luxurious texture and produces a stunning blend into your natural hair. The hair comes in various colours, enabling us to create a perfect colour match to your natural hair.
What lengths of hair extensions can I get?
Taylor Rose Hair Extensions start at 18 inches. Clients usually opt for 20 or 22 inches. You can discuss your desired length at your consultation appointment. We can provide longer lengths upon request. Check out our hair guide within the prices page for more information.
What methods do you use?
At Taylor Rose Hair, we offer a variety of hair extension methods, which include micro rings, nano, tape and keratin bonds.
We also offer hair loss solutions, which include medical mini keratin bonds.
Micro rings are one of the leading methods in the industry. They are known for their longevity, meaning fabulous hair for longer, and the natural colours of the bonds mean the micro rings blend beautifully with your natural hair.
Do you supply double drawn hair extensions?
At Taylor Rose, we offer natural drawn hair extensions to ensure your hair looks as beautiful as possible.
Do you stock wavy hair extensions?
We can offer wavy hair extensions and can be ordered upon request.
The Process
Do I need to wash my hair prior to consultation?
Please ensure you arrive at your consultation with freshly washed, clean, dry hair. Taylor Rose reserves the right to refuse to carry out a service if the hair is not in a suitable condition to install hair extensions or undertake maintenance.
How long does a consultation take?
Your initial consultation will be approximately 30 minutes, which will enable us to discuss your desired look, obtain a perfect colour match, and go through the hair extension process with you. You’re welcome to ask any questions, and we’ll be delighted to answer them.
Can I get a same day install as my consultation?
We can offer same day installation (subject to availability). Reach out to us as soon as possible on 0207 5022419.
How long will I need to wait between my consultation and install?
We can offer same day service, but there are usually 2 working days between your consultation and install.
How should my hair be on the day of the fitting?
On the day of your hair extensions fitting, when washing your hair before your appointment, please avoid using conditioner on the scalp, as this may cause the extensions to slide.
How long will my install take?
For a full head of hair extensions, the install will take approximately 3 and a half hours. For a half head, the install will take approximately 2 hours.
How do I maintain my hair extensions?
You will be advised at your appointment on how to look after your hair extensions, including how to brush your extensions, the type of shampoo and conditioner to use, and tips on how to style your hair. We will also discuss your follow up maintenance appointments.
What is a maintenance / refit appointment?
As your natural hair grows, your hair extensions will move further away from your roots. At your maintenance/refit appointment, we carefully remove your hair extensions and place them back up to the roots. Regular maintenance appointments ensure your natural hair and your hair extensions are kept secure, safe and looking their best.
How often shall I come in for my maintenance/refit appointments?
We will advise you at your fitting how regularly you will need to attend your maintenance appointments. This is normally 6-10 weeks after your initial hair extensions service.
How long does a maintenance/refit appointment take?
Maintenance/refit appointments usually take 2 to 3 hours, depending on whether you have a half or full head of hair extensions.
How long will my hair extensions last?
It is down to personal preference and dependent on maintenance and lifestyle. Your hair extensions should last approximately 6 - 12 months, with regular maintenance/refit appointments to keep them in their best condition.
How do I remove my hair extensions?
If you would like to remove your hair extensions, please contact us for an appointment at the salon. We do not advise taking the hair extensions out of the hair yourself, as this could damage your natural hair.
Should I rest my hair between hair extensions?
This is down to personal preference. Most of our clients have a new set of extensions on the same day as the removal of their previous hair extensions.
Your Lifestyle
Can I swim with hair extensions in?
Yes, you can swim with your hair extensions in. However, we would advise wearing a swimming cap to protect your hair extensions from chlorine and seawater. It is important to thoroughly wash your hair after swimming to remove any traces of chlorine or sea water. We also recommend to tie your hair up when entering a hot tub. Please follow the correct aftercare, which is provided at your consultation.
I go to the gym regularly. Will this affect my hair extensions?
If you regularly attend the gym, it should not affect your hair extensions. You may notice some minor additional shedding from the extensions due to a build up of oils at the root.
Will people be able to tell that I am wearing hair extensions?
Our experienced stylists offer the best service to provide you with the most natural looking and easily styled hair. You’ll be amazed by how many wonderful comments you receive about your beautiful new look.
Will my hair look natural?
As our luxury hair extensions are 100% human Remy hair, they are the most natural looking hair extensions available. At your initial consultation, we’ll show you various hair samples, so you can feel the superior quality of the hair prior to your fitting.
Do I need to remove my hair extensions when having an MRI?
Micro ring and nano hair extensions must be removed before MRI scans, due to the magnets within the MRI machine.
